Better Guidance & Influencers Youth Advocacy
through our Youth Advocacy program participants are encouraged to take their academic performances to the next level preparing for a bright and promising future with needed guidance and influence. The Better Guidance & Influencers Youth Advocacy program is dedicated to working one-on-one with each program participant to set personal goals and assisting them with the necessary tools to make each goal set a reality. Our program participants are offered coaching in navigating through the high school experience, college campus tours, exposure programs, career mirroring and grade appropriate summer reading. Our Student Advocates and Academic Coordinators are committed to the success of each program participant in the Zone and beyond (to college or career).

Student advocacy is a one-on-one individualized academic support system with group decision exercises and activities that assist program participants in goal setting and provides classroom assistance and assistance with post-secondary education or career choices.
Campus Tours
Yearly college campus tours are intended to ignite the minds of participants towards their next lace in life. The visits to the various college campuses assist participants with college choices, financial aid and even career choices.
Exposure
Program participants explore and take advantage of many cultural experiences in the greater Tampa Bay area and throughout the state. Exposure to art and culture, rich urban cores, waterfronts, museums, and local restaurants introduces participants and allows them to experience the hidden gems that intends to broaden their horizons and awakens their imaginations to endless possibilities.
Career Mirroring
Program participants experience the work & business culture through matched business professions and professionals. Mirroring those in interested fields and or careers enhances awareness and prepares participants for careers beyond that of their peers. Giving them an advantaging edge.
Summer Reading
Summer slide is one of the greatest adversaries to student success. To counter this opponent the youth advocacy program fights back with exposure to summer reading from the leadership to self-help to the literary greats. The gains are embraced and appreciated as participants share in individual and corporate reading discussions and exercises. Participants then remain on grade level and are prepared to excel in the upcoming school year.
